Four young Malaysians, Salmi, Razak, Ani and Angee have been assigned to do a picture book of ‘1957’. While two of them grudgingly carry out the request made by the publisher, Zahari, one of them takes on the role enthusiastically. Do you need to find the emotions and the skills of a serial killer to ensure your character works on paper? In "Psiko: Pencuri Hati", this question consumes the main character Sidi. Sidi is a writer, whose wretched soul is always struggling internally, tries to find some quiet time whilst doing research for his latest novel about serial killers, but finds himself succumbing to the darkness, little by little.

吴回的《雷雨》以五十年代香港电影感时忧世的中联精神，承传了原著以封建家庭为社会压抑代表的脉络。原著发生于一天之内的四幕剧，情节高度浓缩，本片却改编成直叙体裁，时空横跨二十多年，又加添好些枝节，拉长了剧情，例如以周朴园与侍萍私通后产子开始，突显了在封建家庭腐朽的氛围下，朴园妥协的理所当然。卢敦饰朴园可谓驾轻就熟，但张瑛演长子周萍、梅绮演四凤、黄曼梨演蘩漪、李清演鲁大海则显然年纪过大，但总算演技可补外貌上的不足。白燕由青年演到中年游刃有余，李小龙饰演次子周冲，虽然戏份不多，倒颇称职。

书生王汉喜因家境贫寒，大年除夕，奉母命到未来的岳父家借年去。看到岳父家院内欢喜热市，深感自己处境寒酸，正在徘徊不前时，突闻有人走来，慌忙中误入未婚妻爱姐闺房回避。恰巧来人正是爱姐和她的嫂子，爱姐因思念未婚夫而闷闷不乐。嫂子怕小姑除夕一个孤单，欲陪小姑入寝。被爱姐婉言拒绝了，送嫂子出门，汉喜还未来得及溜走，爱姐已回到房中，无耐汉喜又隐身暗处。爱姐回房独自哭诉自己的心事，被感动的汉喜不自觉地从暗中走出。令爱姐大吃一惊，爱姐知道汉喜是来借年后，便把年货和银子赠给汉喜。最后，在爱姐嫂子的帮助下，思念已久的二人终成眷属。

1947年夏末。中国人民解放军第一野战军击溃了胡宗南匪帮后，正调整部署，准备给敌人以更大打击。随着主力部队的调动，我军野战医院也作了转移。在转移途中，眼关是一望无际的沙漠，医疗队伍在老乡们的帮助下，带着伤员日夜前进。一小股敌人骑兵发现了我医务队，尾随侦察，企图围歼。恶劣的天气，使胆怯的敌人被甩在了医务队的后面，稍作休息时，人们都非常需要水，但水壶里连一滴水也没有了。干渴威胁着这支队伍。医务队带的救急水，根本不能解决问题，他们决定派孙吉甫去找水，孙吉甫拖着虚弱的身体艰难地走着，终于遇到一位住在山梁附近的回民老汉，帮助找到了水。当他们带着水出现在山头，人们欣喜若狂之时，敌机在上空盘旋扫射，回民老汉为了抢救水葫芦，不幸中弹受伤。医务队受到很大威胁，他们隐蔽撤退，老汉一慌，牛角丢在了沙漠里。到家后老汉才发现牛角已不在怀中，牛角中的水，是为了给老汉的孙子治病的。孙吉甫见此情景，冒着生命危险到沙漠中去找牛角。途中遇到匪徒，因寡不敌众，负伤被捕。匪徒们为找水喝，押着孙吉甫来到回民老汉家里。当匪排长喝了水以后，便倒在炕上打起盹来。原来秀琴在水中投了麻醉药，这股武装匪兵，被赤手空拳的医务人员和伤病员俘虏了。

某沿海城市的一个音乐学院，正在招生。声乐系主任严教授是一位在全国音乐界颇有名望的老教授，他为人正直，备受人们尊敬。在招考时他发现一名有歌唱才能的姑娘——陆小梅，但复试时，她却因嗓子哑而未被录取。严教授经过调查，才得知，在复试的前一天晚上，刮起了台风，陆小梅为了抢救受台风袭击的受难者，彻夜未眠而导致复试时嗓子哑。教授诚恳地找到她，录取了她。
